Oral Hearings on Draft Public Service Broadcasting Bill

In October 2009 the Department of Communications tabled a Draft Public Service Broadcasting Bill. The general public was given until the 15th of January to comment. SOS and its partners submitted major written proposals.
In October 2009 the Department of Communications tabled a Draft Public Service Broadcasting Bill. The general public was given until the 15th of January to comment. SOS and its partners submitted major written proposals. The Coalition called for the Department to hold oral presentations so that organisations could further clarify their positions. Initially the Department didn’t respond. However now the Department has finally come back to the public with a set of dates for oral submissions. SOS welcomes this announcement.
