SOS Working Group meeting - 9 July 2010

The SOS working group met Friday 9 July 2010 to look at the latest developments at the SABC, in the independent production and community media sectors. One of the key issues on the agenda was the new ICASA Amendment Bill.
The Bill introduces a number of new powers for the Minister. SOS believes that this undermines ICASA’s independence and ability to regulate without fear or favour.
